It’s almost here!

When Adam and Eve chose satan's word over God's, they chose transcendence, which led to death. God initiated a path of suffering for frail humanity against the dark forces, the chaos of creation, and each other, which would ultimately lead them back to God through death into eternal life. 

• Satan was exposed for the war that he had already started
• Creation would unravel into chaos against them, resisting their efforts to set God's order
• Male and female would fight each other in a war of domination and desire

Having found a man named Abram who would say 'Yes' to Him, the Logos set about creating a nation out of his descendants who would be His bride. His bride, called Israel, was to be the light on the hill in the sea of evil darkness. They regularly strayed from their destiny, fornicating with other gods, and when they did, God used their enemies and the chaos of time to chastise them. Only occasionally would a good leader arise to get them back on the path of righteousness and foretell of the bride's destiny to be the genesis for the salvation of the world.

Only when God found a virgin in His bride, named Mary, who would say 'Yes' to Him as Abram did could the next critical phase of His plan be enacted. The Holy Spirit hovered over Mary's womb as He did over the waters of creation, and the Logos, formerly seen as the Angel of the Lord, became incarnate as a human boy named Jesus.

Jesus ministry started with a bang, demonstrating how to defeat satan with the Word of God. His teaching and life revealed four key logosical truths.

1. The point of our suffering is repentance: to turn back to God so He can replace our tears with joy. If we don't turn to God in our suffering, then our joy will be stolen and replaced with depression
2. The point of turning back to God is so that He can empower us to show others the way back to God as priests, teaching them what Scripture says about the Father's love for us.
3. The point of laying down our lives for others, loving when it is inconvenient, and giving them a cup of water when they are thirsty is that it gives us the authority to testify of Jesus and to prophesy His righteousness in the Earth.
4. The point of testifying of Jesus is to demonstrate it by living a life that is a testimony of Jesus. We are to lead as kings would with justice and mercy, being slow to anger, and faithful and true to the Word of God, that we might be known as disciples of Jesus

Toward the end of Jesus' ministry, he announced to the Heavens and the Earth that on the rock of the Holy Spirit's revelation that Jesus was the Messiah,  that His Church would withstand the gates of Hell and be handed the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven to plunder hell to build His Church, His bride, that would now include all of humanity.

The words of Jesus distill our logosical discipleship: "Eat this bread, my body broken for you; drink this cup of my blood I shed for you". As we participate in and remember His death until He returns, so do we remember that He plundered Hell and was resurrected, defeating death and sin that separated us from being united with Him for eternity, and that He sits at the right hand of the Father, with all creation, both seen and unseen, subject to Him.

The point of being a disciple of Jesus is not just to go to heaven but to participate in His work of ordering and beautifying creation and adding to and beautifying His bride. This beautifying process is central to what it means to be a logosical disciple of Jesus. We beautify His creation and His bride by allowing the Holy Spirit, who empowers us and makes the Word of God alive to us, to renew our hearts: our minds, will, and emotions to align with our promise of being a new creation.
