Logos

A clear, foundational explanation of the Logos, eternal, creative, revelatory, life‑giving, incarnate Son of God, Jesus Christ and the Bridegroom who draws humanity into union

Before all things. Through all things. For all things.

The Logos is not an idea to be mastered or a distant force. The Logos is the eternal Word, the living expression of the Father, incarnated as Jesus, through whom all things were made and in whom all things hold together.

To encounter the Logos is to encounter the source of meaning itself: the One in whom truth is not merely spoken but embodied, in whom love is not merely offered but made visible, and in whom the fullness of God dwells as the resurrected God-man Jesus Christ.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

John 1:1

John reaches back before the beginning of creation to reveal the One who was already there. The Logos did not come into being. He is eternal, with God, and fully God. Every created thing finds its origin in Him, and every human longing finds its true home in Him.

The Logos Revealed

The Logos is Creator

The Logos is Revelation

The Logos is Revelation

All things came into being through Him. The order, beauty, and intelligibility of creation are not accidents; they are the signature of the Word through whom it was spoken into being. To look at creation with wonder is to glimpse the artistry of the Logos.

The Logos makes the Father known. He is the image of the invisible God, not a partial reflection like we are, but the exact expression of God's nature. In Jesus, God does not merely send a message; He gives Himself.

The Logos is Life

The Logos is the Bridegroom

The Logos is the Bridegroom

In Him was life, and that life was the light of humanity. The Logos is not only the source of biological existence but the wellspring of true life: life reconciled to God, life illuminated by truth, life made whole by love.

The eternal Word did not remain distant from His creation. He entered it, took on flesh as Jesus, and gave Himself for a people who would become His Bride. Jesus draws humanity not merely toward knowledge of God, but into covenant union with Him.

From Logos to Bride

  • The Logos became incarnate by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin as the boy child Jesus.
  • He grew up as a devout Jew, and when His cousin baptized Him in submission to His Father, the Holy Spirit anointed Him to begin His ministry.
  • He revealed the Father's love for humanity, conquered demons, death, and the grave through resurrection, and restored us to communion with God.
  • He sits at the right hand of the Father with all authority over creation and handed the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven to His Church.
  • He sent the Holy Spirit so that, by His power, we can share in His work of spreading the good news of the Father's love, His victory over death, baptizing and discipling converts to be washed by His word into a beautiful bride.

OUR RESPONSE TO THE LOGOS

The Logosical life begins with attention.

We turn toward the Word who has always been speaking, in Scripture, in creation, in the quiet conviction of the Spirit, and in the face of Jesus Christ. We receive His life, allow His Word to form us, and join His work of drawing all people toward His destiny for them.
